Junior League of Minneapolis Hosts American Girl Fashion Show®; Models Wanted

The Junior League of Minneapolis will host the 12th annual American Girl Fashion Show® March 8, 9, and 10 at the Capri Theater in Minneapolis. The annual event showcases Twin Cities girls modeling both historical and contemporary fashions from the American Girl® doll and clothing line. Girls will walk the runway with dolls in matching clothing.

Hennepin Gallery is Showcasing New Art this October

The Hennepin Gallery is celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month this October by showcasing art from Minnesota artists.


Fourteen recipients of the VSA Minnesota’s Project Grants for Artists with Disabilities Program, funded by the Jerome Foundation, will have their work on display at the gallery.

Mpls. and St. Paul Public Schools Cancel Classes, Activities Monday

Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools are among the districts closed Monday because of heavy snow accumulation and bitter cold.

Minneapolis school officials say the closure affects and buildings and staff, including Community Education classes, Early Childhood Family Education classes and all activities.
