Richfield Artist Wins 2013 Pheasant Stamp Contest

A Richfield artist was named the winner in the DNR's 2013 Pheasant Stamp Contest. Timothy Turenne's painitng was selected from among 14 entries in this year's contest.

Ed Durose of Roseville took second place. Mark Thone of Shakopee finished third.

Turenne finished third in the 2011 pheasant stamp competition.

Hazardous Waste Truck Travels to Maplewood

Ramsey County’s household hazardous waste collection truck will be in Maplewood throughout October.

Residents can get rid of paint, motor oil, batteries, fluorescent lights, and other products for free.

The truck is open to residents in Ramsey, Washington, Hennepin, Anoka, Dakota, and Carver Counties.

New Medicine Drop Boxes in Brooklyn Center, Edina, Minnetonka

The number of sites to drop off medicines in Hennepin County just doubled.  There are now disposal boxes in Brooklyn Center, Edina, and Minnetonka.

Medicine disposal boxes were previously installed in Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis, and Spring Park.
